So literally, one can read my first book to about page 184, then read Sacred Journey, and then complete the first book to get a proper sense of chronology. Rather, this story takes place within the time-frame of my first book, Way of the Peaceful Warrior, during a period of travel and exploration after Socrates sent me away to find myself and my place in the world. The odd thing about this story is that it is not a sequel - that is, it doesn't pick up at the end of my first book.

So, what began as a small booklet I was going to call "awakening the three selves" transformed, as if on its own accord, into Sacred Journey of the Peaceful Warrior. Then the influence of a new mentor (I will someday write about, in a forthcoming memoir), I was compelled, provoked, stimulated to share new insights and perspectives with my readers.
